If you’ve scrolled on Facebook lately, you may have seen your cousins’ birthday is coming up, that old college roommate had a baby, or—if you’re following Allrecipes on Facebook—some delicious-looking dishes.
April brought spring showers, but also holidays like Easter, Passover, and Ramadan. And throughout the month, we shared recipes on Facebook for those occasions, along with loads of ideas for spring produce, weeknight dinners, and everything in between. Of all of those recipes, some rose above the rest, and once you scroll through this list, it’s not hard to see why. So without further ado, here are the top 10 recipes we shared on Facebook in April.
With Easter at the top of the month, it came as no surprise that one of the top recipes across all of our platforms this month was Deviled Eggs. Yes, this recipe is ideal for leftover Easter eggs, but it’s just as well-suited to late spring-early summer for BBQs and picnics. Deviled eggs are a perennial crowd-pleasing appetizer no one can resist.
The name says it all. But this super simple, beginner-friendly version of the St. Louis staple is actually made with just six ingredients thanks to a store-bought shortcut. Transform a box of yellow cake mix into an ooey, gooey masterpiece one reviewer calls, “The best cake I ever ate,” and, “freakin unreal.”
As far as easy weeknight dinners go, a few recipes rose above the rest on our Facebook page. These crispy baked chicken tenders are the ideal weeknight winner because they have just 5 ingredients (at least 4 of which you probably already have on hand), are a kid- and crowd-pleaser, and take less than 30 minutes from start to finish. What more could you want?!
One of the most popular weeknight dinner recipes on Allrecipes, these Beef Tips were also a Facebook favorite in April. With over 650 5-star reviews, the tender stewed beef is sure to impress your family and friends. Serve over egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or rice.
Somewhat surprising, but this new recipe for Marsala Sauce was in the top three recipes for April on Facebook. Why? It tastes amazing, it’s versatile, and will make you feel like you’ve transformed your kitchen into a fancy Italian restaurant. Take a tip from recipe author and Allrecipes Allstar lutzflcat and serve, “over steak, chicken, pork, potatoes, or polenta.”
Talk about excellent. We’d like to formally thank the titular Emily for sharing this recipe all the way back in 2004 because it’s been of favorite of our team and our community ever since. This super simple dish tastes like if nachos and a casserole met and had a baby, and that baby was a thing of textural beauty.
Swap out your usual cornbread for these savory, moist Cheddar Cheese Muffins the next time you make chili. Or packing a spring picnic? It wouldn’t be a monthly top recipes gallery without a recipe from Chef John. This coffee cake may seem like a fall-forward recipe, but you can swap in any in-season fruit for the apples here. We know we’ll be making a version with strawberries and rhubarb while they’re in season this spring, and highly recommend you do, too.
