CLEVELAND, Ohio — The September chill in the air can only mean one thing — it’s pumpkin spice season. Folks tend to go nuts after Labor Day for pumpkin-flavored everything, especially in their morning coffee drinks.

Starbucks popularized the pumpkin-spiced latte years ago, but it’s remained steadfast as an annual trend. For those folks who would rather support a local cafe business, here are 26 coffee shops in Northeast Ohio with pumpkin-spiced coffee drinks on their menus.

Machine Gun Kelly’s 27 Club Coffee Shop in the Flats is known for making drinks that are as visually appealing as they are tasty, and the fall menu is no different. The pumpkin pie chai can be served hot or iced and features homemade pumpkin chai concentrate. They’re also serving a sweet potato pie latte with sweet potato and toasted marshmallow syrup, espresso, and purple milk. Even the cocktail menu includes pumpkin spice with the pumpkin pie old-fashioned made with bourbon, pumpkin spice simple syrup, cardamom, and topped with a brûléed orange.

5 Points Café

5 Points Coffee has debuted a pumpkin pecan latte on its menu with a nutty twist. The fall-flavored drink can be enjoyed both hot or iced, featuring organic pumpkin and pecan syrup and topped with cinnamon for added coziness.

Arabica Coffee House

4138 Erie St., Willoughby

Arabica Coffee House in Willoughby celebrates the pumpkin spice trend all year long. You can order a pumpkin spice latte any time of the year, even though it feels the most appropriate in the fall.

Aside from fall specialty drinks, Beans in Chardon has pumpkin pie-flavored syrup that customers can add to lattes, cappuccinos, cold brew, and more. The café rolls out new specials on a regular basis, so there are sure to be more pumpkin options throughout the season.

Both options are an ideal pair with the seasonal candy-apple crepe on the menu.

There’s even a frozen pumpkin spice frappe for people who want to feel the fall vibes but still drink something icy.

Goodkind Coffee

Goodkind Coffee has a fall seasonal menu with a pumpkin-infused chai latte to scratch the pumpkin spice itch. The menu includes a Fall Latte made with maple syrup, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. There’s also Newton’s latte made with apple butter and caramel.

Gypsy Beans in Gordon Square is a reliable neighborhood staple for morning caffeine fuel. The café sells a classic pumpkin spice latte on its menu for fall alongside regular coffee and tea drinks.

Harbor Perk Coffeehouse & Roasting Co.

Ashtabula residents looking for festive fall sips should stop at Harbor Perk for its seasonal menu. The pumpkin gets a moment in the pumpkin cream nitro cold brew, but that’s just the beginning. The coffee shop sells an Oversized Sweater latte made with brown sugar and baking spices, a Harvest Moon mocha featuring praline, and a Caramel Apple frozen whip drink. Heartwood has two locations for folks to seek out this fall to try their fall menu, which includes the humble pumpkin spice latte. The shops in Hudson and Chagrin Falls also serve other barista-crafted specialty drinks, which may be the only thing to sway you away from the classic PSL.

Kave Coffee Bar celebrates the season with a fall flight of drinks for customers to try a bit of everything. The 2023 flight includes a pumpkin marshmallow latte that’s a bit sweeter than the typical PSL. The other drinks are a hot maple chai, a Butterbeer latte, and a hot apple cider.

Instead of the traditional pumpkin spice drinks, Lekko is making Fall Spice lattes and Autumn cold brew to accompany the changing of the seasons. The fall menu also features a fig old-fashioned, s’mores latte, and an apple crisp.

Mojo’s Coffee Shop

Mojo’s in Bay Village makes its pumpkin spice latte with a decadent touch. The latte is made with natural pumpkin flavoring, and fall-inspired spices, and topped with a pumpkin sauce drizzle for even richer flavor.

Nature’s Oasis expands grocery/cafe into Van Aken
